Threat Modeling

A new medium-sized health care facility just opened and you are hired as the CIO. The CEO is somewhat technical and has tasked you with creating a threat model. The CEO needs to decide from 3 selected models but needs your recommendation. Review this week’s readings, conduct your own research, then choose a model to recommend with proper justifications. Items to include (at a minimum) are:User authentication and credentials with third-party applications3 common security risks with ratings: low, medium or highJustification of your threat model (why it was chosen over the other two: compare and contrast)You will research several threat models as it applies to the health care industry, summarize three models and choose one as a recommendation to the CEO in a summary with a model using UML Diagrams (Do not copy and paste images from the Internet). In your research paper, be sure to discuss the security risks and assign a label of low, medium or high risks and the CEO will make the determination to accept the risks or mitigate them.

MAT540 Updated Case Study

MAT 540Week 8 Case Analysis – Assignment 1Gilbert Moss and Angela Pasaic spent several summers during their college years working at archaeological sites in the Southwest. While at those digs, they learned how to make ceramic tiles from local artisans. After college they made use of their college experiences to start a tile manufacturing firm called Mossaic Tiles, Ltd. They opened their plant in New Mexico, where they would have convenient access to special clay they intend to use to make a clay derivative for their tiles. Their manufacturing operation consists of a few relatively simple but precarious steps, including molding the tiles, baking, and glazing. Gilbert and Angela plan to produce two basic types of tile for use in home bathrooms, kitchens, sunrooms, and laundry rooms. The two types of tile are a larger, single-colored tile and a smaller, patterned tile. In the manufacturing process, the color or pattern is added before a tile is glazed. Either a single color is sprayed over the top of a baked set of tiles or a stenciled pattern is sprayed on the top of a baked set of tiles. The tiles are produced in batches of 100. The first step is to pour the clay derivative into specially constructed molds. It takes 18 minutes to mold a batch of 100 larger tiles and 15 minutes to prepare a mold for a batch of 100 smaller tiles. The company has 60 hours available each week for molding. After the tiles are molded, they are baked in a kiln: 0.27 hour for a batch of 100 larger tiles and 0.58 hour for a batch of 100 smaller tiles. The company has 105 hours available each week for baking. After baking, the tiles are either colored or patterned and glazed. This process takes 0.16 hour for a batch of 100 larger tiles and 0.20 hour for a batch of 100 smaller tiles. Forty hours are available each week for the glazing process. Each batch of 100 large tiles requires 32.8 pounds of the clay derivative to produce, whereas each batch of smaller tiles requires 20 pounds. The company has 6,000 pounds of the clay derivative available each week. Mossaic Tiles earns a profit of $190 for each batch of 100 of the larger tiles and $240 for each batch of 100 smaller patterned tiles. Angela and Gilbert want to know how many batches of each type of tile to produce each week to maximize profit. In addition, they have some questions about resource usage they would like answered.A. Formulate a linear programming model for Mossaic Tiles, LtdB. Solve the linear programming model by using the computer and determine the sensitivity rangesC. Mossaic believes it may be able to reduce the time required for molding to 16 minutes for a batch of larger tiles and 12 minutes for a batch of smaller tiles. How will this affect the solution?D. The company that provides Mossaic with clay has indicated that it can deliver an additional 100 pounds each week. Should Mossaic agree to this offer?Need this complete with the write up and excel data information **

Evaluate a Longitudinal Design

For this assignment, write a paper that evaluates the research  conducted in three peer-reviewed articles on a technology topic that  employs a longitudinal research design. Address all components for each  article before moving on to the next article. Your paper should address  the following components:What was the research problem? What variables were analyzed, and what were the hypotheses tested? What types of statistical analyses were used?Which, if any, of the general strengths and weaknesses of  longitudinal designs designs did the study demonstrate? Are there any threats to  validity? Explain.Evaluate the quality of the research studyWas a longitudinal design the most appropriate design and why or why not?How credible are the conclusions of the study?Length: 6 pages, not including title and reference pages.References: Include a minimum of 6 scholarly resourcesThe completed assignment should address all of the assignment  requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate  thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course. The  writing should integrate scholarly resources, reflect academic  expectations and current APA standards (as required), and include a plagiarism report.

Deliverable 6 – Analysis with Correlation and Regression

CompetencyDetermine and interpret the linear correlation coefficient, and use linear regression to find a best fit line for a scatter plot of the data and make predictions.ScenarioAccording to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the probability of a magnitude 6.7 or greater earthquake in the Greater Bay Area is 63%, about 2 out of 3, in the next 30 years. In April 2008, scientists and engineers released a new earthquake forecast for the State of California called the Uniform California Earthquake Rupture Forecast (UCERF).As a junior analyst at the USGS, you are tasked to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to support the claim of a linear correlation between the magnitudes and depths from the earthquakes. Your deliverables will be a PowerPoint presentation you will create summarizing your findings and an excel document to show your work.Concepts Being StudiedCorrelation and regressionCreating scatterplotsConstructing and interpreting a Hypothesis Test for Correlation using r as the test statisticYou are given a spreadsheet that contains the following information:Magnitude measured on the Richter scaleDepth in kmUsing the spreadsheet, you will answer the problems below in a PowerPoint presentation. What to SubmitThe PowerPoint presentation should answer and explain the following questions based on the spreadsheet provided above.Slide 1: Title slideSlide 2: Introduce your scenario and data set including the variables provided.Slide 3: Construct a scatterplot of the two variables provided in the spreadsheet. Include a description of what you see in the scatterplot.Slide 4: Find the value of the linear correlation coefficient r and the critical value of r using α = 0.05. Include an explanation on how you found those values.Slide 5: Determine whether there is sufficient evidence to support the claim of a linear correlation between the magnitudes and the depths from the earthquakes. Explain.Slide 6: Find the regression equation. Let the predictor (x) variable be the magnitude. Identify the slope and the y-intercept within your regression equation.Slide 7: Is the equation a good model? Explain. What would be the best predicted depth of an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.0? Include the correct units.Slide 8: Conclude by recapping your ideas by summarizing the information presented in context of the scenario.Along with your PowerPoint presentation, you should include your Excel document which shows all calculations.
