1. Respond to Pink’s ideas that satisfaction at work is dependent upon have the right goal, which he suggests is not just the attainment of wealth. As we saw in our first paper, minimum wage (or not having enough money) doesn’t seem to make many people happy. So are Pink’s ideas idealistic but not realistic? In your response, wrestle with this complicated question. (Minimum of 150 words required)

2. Pink makes the point that current rewards often result in narrow thinking by workers and that a shift in rewards that focuses on profits as well as purpose will make workers think outside of the box and be happier. This is a huge shift in the current American workforce philosophy. What are the pros and cons to this shift? If you were an employer, would you advocate for this shift? Why or why not? If you were a worker, would you advocate for this shift? Why or why not? (Minimum of 150 words required)

3. Pink discusses the differences between the Boomer generation and younger genertations just now entering the workforce. He argues that they all have a role in helping to change the workforce. Think about each current generation in the workforce: Boomers, Generation X, Generation Y/Millenials. Think about the role they all play and the needs each have (in some ways this requires some generalizing, I realize that). Can a concept such as Pink’s work for all generations of workers and employers? How so? Or why not? (Minimum of 100 words required)
